Jungle Level 1

There are no Electoon cages on this level. 

  • Collect as many blue tings as you can. Ting  100 tings gains you a free life.
  • Avoid falling into the water or you will lose a life.
  • Just after the red flower that bends, climb the vine and travel left by carefully jumping from vine to vine. You will find a free life on  the grassy upper  platform.

Jungle Level 2

Jungle Level 2

There are 3 Electoon cages on this level. These cages can not be reached until you get the power to hang, which you receive in Jungle Level 8. The third cage also requires the power to grapple, which you receive in Jungle Level 17. Once you get these powers, you will be able to go back for these cages. There is a magician on this level.

  • At the entrance, jump on the red flower and then jump to the right to reach the vine.  Climb the vine and jump to the vine to your left to get all of the blue tings.
  • Return to the vine on the right and climb up to the grassy platform with the magician.Magician To visit the magician’s secret bonus level, you must collect 10 blue tings and pay him. One little trick you can try, if you don’t make it through the entire bonus level in time, is to collect tings while in the secret level (all you need is 10) and then reenter the level once time expires. The bonus levels are important because you earn valuable free lives by completing them.cage
  • On your first time through this level, you will see explorers and cages at the top of the screen. They cannot be accessed until you get the power to hang and punch.
  • PhotographerThe photographer is a friend. If you lose a life, you will start again at the last place where he took a picture of you. Make sure he snaps your picture!
  • (1) For the first cage on the level, climb to the top of the first vine after the photographer and look to the left. You can also get to this cage by traveling along the upper grassy platforms.
  • (2) In the group of vines with the flying fish, knock the purple grape off of the third vine. Drop straight down to land on top of the grape. Once the grape is in the water, you steer it by facing left or right. Steer the grape to the right for the second cage.Pink Ring
  • (3) After you receive the power to grapple from Betilla the Fairy, you can get the last cage on this level. At the entrance, climb the vine to reach the magician's platform. Go to the right side of the platform, grab the flying ring, swing and land on top of  the tree with the tings. The cage will appear below the tree. You may find it easier to grab the flying ring if you wait until after you have received the power to helicopter (Music Level 11).

Jungle Level 3

There are no Electoon cages on this level.

  • Betilla the Fairy will give you the power to throw your fist Gold Fist and punch.
  • Press ALT to send off the fist. The longer you keep the button pressed, the further the fist will go.
  • Go to the far right side of the screen, jump and punch down the purple grape, jump on top of the grape, then while it is bouncing, jump onto the platform to exit the level.

Jungle Level 4

Jungle Level 4

There are 3 Electoon cages on this level. There is a magician on this level.

  • GrapeNear the entrance, knock down the first purple grape that you see hanging on a vine and let it bounce down the hill towards the left. Jump on top of the bouncing grape and then jump up to the hand on the left. There is a free life on the grassy platform on the right.
  • One way to move a grape is to jump on top of it, face in the opposite direction you want to move, throw your fist, and then duck. When your fist returns, it will hit the grape first, propelling it forward.
  • To get golden glove that is suspended above water, find the nearest purple grape, knock it down and punch it with your fist into the water. Once the grape is in the water, you can jump on it and steer it by facing left or right.
  • (1) After using the second grape to get the golden glove suspended above the water, return to the area near the entrance to the level. The grape will pop back onto its vine, and you can use it again. Punch the second grape so that it falls on top of the head of the large explorer on the island to the right.  This may take some practice. If you mistime the punch or don't punch hard enough, the grape will land in the water. Jump on top of the grape that should now be stuck on top of the head of the explorer.  Get the glove above, and the cage appears to the right.
  •  Small ExplorerThe small explorers can be annoying.  They duck when you try to punch them and then throw their hands to try to grab you. A useful trick is to hold the punch button down and throw a long punch that will go past the explorer. Duck as your fist comes back towards you and the trajectory of the fist will lower as well, often punching a ducking explorer.
  • (2) The second cage is on the platform in the middle of the vines with the flying fish.
  •  HunterOn this level, you also meet a hunter. Hunters can be very annoying because not only do they shoot bullets at you, but their guns can also be used as shields to block your punches. One way to get past the hunter is to jump and punch while you are in the air. Try to time the punches so that they hit the hunter in the head, avoiding his gun.
  • In the middle of this level, you will see a grape hanging at the top of the screen (just past the place where the explorers suddenly appear on the screen). If you jump up and knock this grape down to your left, then ride it to the right side of the screen and into the water, you will find a free life and a full power-up. 
  • Before exiting, knock down the grape near the exit and ride it right to find a magician.
  • (3) The last cage is at the exit sign at the right side of the level.

Remember to save your game when you return to the map!

To save the game, move Rayman to one of the save spots on the map, which are indicated by the Magician's top hat, and press the space bar.

Anguish Lagoon

Jungle Level 5

Jungle Level 5

There are 5 Electoon cages on this level. You will not be able to reach two of them until you get the power to grapple, which you receive in Jungle Level 17.

  • Whenever you see a trail of blue tings, even if they seem to lead towards a dangerous gulf, you should always follow or jump after them. The tings are often a hint that there may be hidden surprises or Electoon cages nearby.
  • Punch the grape on the vine to make it swing.
  • Flower Platform(1) You will see a blue ting below the first dropping flower. Fall down with the flower following the trail of tings; they'll lead to a cage of Electoons. Be ready to duck down (press the DOWN ARROW key), because there's a hunter waiting.
  • Ride the grape back to the left and go back up to the flowers.
  • (2) There is a lone ting hanging above and to the right of the second floating flower. Stand on the grassy platform and jump towards it. A cage will appear on the grassy platform to the left.
  • (3) The third cage is behind the hunter at the top left of the level, just before the exit sign.
  • (4) Once you have the power to grapple, you can get to the last two cages. Get on the falling flower at the very top of the screen. As you are falling, wind up quickly and punch to the left to knock down the grape. Fall onto the grassy platform.  The grape will also land on the platform. This maneuver is much easier if you wait until after you get the power to helicopter in Music Level 11! Jump on top of the grape and swing over to the left using your grappling power.
  • (5) After getting the fourth cage, drop down to the mushroom tree and the last cage will appear below the tree.

Jungle Level 6

There are no Electoon cages on this level.Fighting Moskito

  • In this level you will meet the first of the crazy bosses, Moskito.
  • The key to beating Moskito is to stay in the middle of the screen in order to see which direction he is coming from.
  • When Moskito is in the air, try to jump up and punch him. When he is flying at you the safest strategy is to either jump over him or duck underneath him.
  • Once you defeat a boss, you do not have to fight them again if you repeat a sequence of levels!

There is 1 Electoon cage on this level.

Moskito
  • In this level, Moskito becomes Rayman's friend and flies him past a series of dangerous hanging plants. The key to this level is to stay horizontally and vertically near the middle of the screen in order to give yourself room to advance or retreat when necessary.
  • Watch for a free life near the beginning of the level and again after the cage.
  • Flying Antitoon(1) The cage is on a grassy platform above the small explorer, about mid-way Flying AntitoonFlying Antitoon through the level. After fighting the three flying Antitoons, move to the lower right area of the screen. You have to trigger the appearance of the cage. Then, fly up quickly to hit the cage before the screen edge catches you.

Jungle Level 8

There are no Electoon cages on this level.

  • Betilla the Fairy gives Rayman the power to hang.
  • When Rayman jumps or falls, he automatically hangs
    onto nearby platforms.

Going back after you receive the power to hang

You can now go back to get some of the cages that you couldn't reach the first time through the level.

  • In Jungle Level 2, two more cages become accessible. You still will not be able to get to the last cage until you get the power to grapple in Jungle Level 17.

The Swamps of Forgetfulness

Jungle Level 9

PlantingThere is 1 Electoon cage on this level.

  • In this level, if you jump up and knock down Tarayzan's clothes which are stuck on a vine, he will give you a magic seed to help you escape. Plant a seed (by pressing the letter 'x') and a plant will grow allowing you to climb up. You must plant the seed repeatedly to escape the rising water. You cannot, however, plant one seed on top of another.
  • (1) The only cage in this level is after the first hunter.
  • When you reach the exit, a free life will appear on the left side of the screen.

Jungle Level 10

Large ExplorerThere are 2 Electoon cages on this level.

  •  Knock the 4 purple grapes onto the heads of the large explorers. You can then jump on top of these grapes and move right to the unoccupied island.
  • (1) Start moving back to your left, punching the large explorers. A cage will appear on the grassy platform at the entrance of the level.
  • On the second large island, you will see one of the large explorers and a bunch of Antitoons.On grape Don't use the grape as a way of getting rid of the large explorer or you'll miss a cage of Electoons. Instead, approach the island from the left by water using another grape. Punch all of the Antitoons and the large explorer while still on top of the grape. Then, knock down the grape that is suspended above the island. Push it to the right and into the water.
  • (2) When you arrive at the next island, a cage will fall from the sky.
  • There is a free life under the cliff with the exit sign. Stand on the swinging grape and punch the purple grape left and into the water. Ride the grape to the right to reach the free life.

Jungle Level 11

Jungle Level 11

There are 3 Electoon cages on this level.  One of the cages cannot be reached unless you have the helicopter power. There is a magician on this level.

  • (1) Climb up the first vine that's holding a purple grape. Go to the top and then drop down to the left following the trail of tings and a cage will appear near the entrance.
  • (2) The second cage cannot be reached until you receive the helicopter power. At the entrance, climb the vine with the grape. Jump to the right onto the flower, then onto the swinging grape. Keep going right. After getting the cage, follow the trail of tings down for a free life. You will land on the grassy platform with the magician.
  • If you didn't try to get the second cage as described above, punch the grape that is on the vine at the top of the hill, jump on top of it, and ride it down the hill.
  • Before you get to the bottom of the hill, jump off the grape and onto a floating flower. Jump over to the grassy platform on the right and you'll find a magician.
  • (3) On the right side of the platform with the magician you'll see a lone blue ting hanging in the sky. Jump at it, and flower platforms will appear leading you to another cage. Be prepared to jump quickly because the flowers drop!

Moskito's Nest

Jungle Level 12

Jungle Level 12

There are 3 Electoon cages on this level. One cage requires the power to grapple which you receive in Level 17. There is a magician on this level.

  • (1) Climb up and get the tings on top of the mushroom tree at the beginning of the level. A cage will then appear beneath the tree.
  • When you see the photographer while floating on a purple grape, don't jump off! Stay on the grape and it will take you to a power-up.
  • (2)Tentacle After the photographer, use the grape to bounce and reach the vine. Climb the vine and get rid of the explorers.  Go left. You'll find a magician and a little further, some flying rings that will lead to a cage.
  • Retrace your steps back to the photographer and go right.
  • The tentacle can only be stopped by punching it in the mouth.
  • (3) At the exit, ride up on the floating flower. Grab the vine and climb up.  A cage will appear below.

Jungle Level 13

There are 2 Electoon cages on this level.

  • (1) At the entrance climb up the tree to grab the power-up and a cage will appear below.
  • (2) After the photographer, jump on the vine to the right. Climb the vine to reach the power-up.  Return to the photographer's island and go left on the dropping flowers to the vine. A grape will appear. Knock the grape into the water and ride it to the left for the cage.
  • Before exiting this level, knock down the grape and push it to the left until it falls in the water. Jump on it, float to the right and you will find a free life.

Jungle Level 14

Jungle Level 14

There are no Electoon cages on this level.

  • You have to move quickly on this level to avoid the big spiked fruit.
  • There really is no secret other than staying as far ahead of the fruit as possible and not delaying your jumps.
  • Don't lose time by trying to get the power-ups or glove. If you have the helicopter power, try avoid using it because it will slow down your jumps.
  • The good news is that you do not need to redo this level when you replay Moskito's Nest to get the cages you missed the first time through!

Jungle Level 15

There is 1 Electoon cage on this level.

  • (1) At the end of the level, knock down the purple grape. Punch it up the steep hill to the right.  (This is not as easy as it sounds!) When the purple grape falls into the water near the exit sign, ride it to the left to make the cage appear.

Jungle Level 16

There are no Electoon cages on this level.

  • Once again you get to fight Moskito.
  • Try to remain in the middle of the screen so that you can see which direction he's coming from.
  • Hit him while jumping in the air. Jump over Moskito when he flies low to the ground. Duck underneath the large, spiked, purple fruit that he carries.

Jungle Level 17

Flying RingThere are no Electoon cages on this level.

  • Betilla the Fairy gives Rayman the power to grapple.
  • Thanks to this power, Rayman is able to hang onto and swing on flying rings.
  • The grabbing fist also allows him to pull the free life statues towards himself.
  • Same button as punching (ALT key).

 

Going back after you receive the power to grapple

You can now go back to get some of the cages that you couldn't reach the first time through the level. You may want to wait to replay Jungle Level 2 and 5 until after you get the power to helicopter - the jumps become much easier!
